Program cost is a sliding scale fee of $150-$500 based on your needs. $100 of your payment is a non-refundable reservation fee. 

This year's Summer Institute participants will discover:

What nature- and place-based early childhood education is and why it's such a hot topic in ECE today.

Current advocacy efforts for increasing inclusive and equitable access by all children to nature- and place-based learning. 

Ways to align their current teaching practices with the pedaogy of nature- and placed-based learning.

Potential community resources and partnerships for increasing inclusive and equitabe access to natural environments for children and families. 

How to plan nature- and place-based experiences for young chidren that are developmentally and culturally appropriate, inclusve, and linked to early learning.

Monday. Reception and registration 2pm-5pm on campus at the Crossroads Center. Dinner and Opening Sessions 5pm-7:30pm

Tuesday. Breakfast 8a-8:30am. Workshop sessions and field trips 8:30am-5pm. Dinner is on your own. 

Wednesday. Breakfast 8am-8:30am. Workshop sesssions and field trip 8:30am-5pm. Dinner is on your own.

Summer Institute 

Join us this summer for an inspiring, hands-on, and experiential professional development event in beautiful Prescott, Arizona. Collaborate with a passionate and diverse group of early childhood educators during our 5-day early childhood educator Summer Institute. The Summer Institute fee includes materials and resources, four nights of lodging on campus and two to three meals a day. Enrollment is limited and a non-refundable fee of $100 is required to hold your place. As a part of the enrollment process, each participant will be asked to identify a nature- and place-based project they can develop during and after the Summer Institute. Registration opens February 18th.
